Abstract The current study aimed to investigate the influence of expired hardened cement blended with ground granulated blast furnace slag on bond, microstructure, and durability high-strength concrete (HSC). Five mixes are prepared; first mix is taken as a control, remaining four used experimental blends. HSC characteristics evaluated by compressive, flexural, splitting tensile, tests. Furthermore, ultrasonic pulse velocity microstructural tests carried out check quality. synergistic action blends (expired harden GGBS) strength test results was found increase an in up 20%. result reveals that be impermeable under aggressive conditions. achieved investigation explain above strength, performance these mixes. whole adequate for industrial use.
